On the plane back to Perth now reflecting on this huge weekend.
Laughter, tears, old friends, new friends and most importantly connection .
Birth workers are generally the most beautiful souls, this weekend felt like the best of the best were there and it was magical.
I heard so much positive feedback about the now so called" blue pools" Birth pool in A Box pools, how they last, how reliable they are, I lost count of how many women came up and gave our MINI pool a hug.
A lot of interest in our new Oasis pools, especially as they will be so affordable with 3 choices of sizes.. They might be new to Australia but they have been around for over a decade, so +++ product confidence .

I wish I could share every birth! I just love it so much. This birth I am sharing ( with permission) as we were so honoured to be given an opportunity to try the new Oasis birth pool from Simply Birth! The photos by Annilein photography are incredible and show the pool in the lovely light. One thing I noticed the most was how comfortable Mel could get stain by after birth while breastfeeding and trying to birth her placenta. It seemed to be the perfect size , shape and depth to enable this for her. When packing it up I particularly noticed how beautifully soft the liner was and how soft the bottom of the pool was. I will definitely be getting this pool.

In anticipation of expanding our already amazing Birth Pool Selection, we had our First Ever Photo Shoot last month.
Oh my goodness. Women are the BEST when they come together.
I had so many helpers, My daughters and their friends, My dear friend and midwife from handinhandmidwives with her daughter, also studying midwifery. I had my beautiful photography friend from wildflowers.and.twine 2 incredible pregnant mumma’s, happy to give me couple of hours of their time and a very special space at my Yoga studio homyoga.studio
The brief to everyone was simple -
I want photos to demonstrate the variety of pools, the sizes and depths, for the 2 different mummas.
The team Nailed it.
I stood back tearfully, as everyone just knew what needed to be done.
I hope you like the results as much as I do.
I bloody love it when women work together - it’s incredible !!

Where it all began.
My youngest child turned 17 yesterday, which means a lil` history lesson for my newer followers.
I figure most women of birthing age were in school or just out of school 17 years ago so wouldn`t know that there were minimal options available back then.
I had my first 3 waterbabies in a freestanding Birth Centre in London, moved to Australia, got pregnant and looked at my options and was less than impressed. NOTHING - other then huge wooden walled DIY Types with a mattress and a tarp. I knew that much better pools were available.
I contacted a supplier in the UK who was happy to ship a pool out to me but then asked me to be the Distributor.
I said Yes of course, with zero business aptitude, we jumped right in and Simply Birth was born, we purchased 400 pools (liners were not around back then) And launched at the Home Birthing Conference. We took 40 pools not knowing how they would be received, and we returned to Perth with none. All sold out.
17 years later we pride ourselves on being the Pioneers of inflatable pools here in Australia. We sell only quality pools.

I will always encourage, support and empower other women in business. Always.
So when I heard my neighbour had gone into business, I knew I wanted to support her.
Sarah used to love to dance, she was energetic, vivacious - a most gorgeous woman, but a work place injury took her out. She is now housebound and unable to walk or stand for more than a few moments, her life as she knew it has changed forever.
Her husband worried about her, her physical and mental health (we all did) so he did something amazing. He bought her a Lazer cutting machine, an industrial one, he taught her how to use it, set up her website, set up her business - working from home, in a wheelchair at times.
So, I went to Sarah - to see what we could do together to help her business help my business and this is what we came up with.
Its taken a couple of months but today we are ready to share designed by Sarah and I-
